IMAX 3Dの劇場で観るのがお勧めです。

迫力があり、美しい不思議な世界に浸れます。

個人的には、この世界は宮崎さんの影響もうけているのかな、

と感じました。

映画に出てくるクリーチャー達は、HCDのネビル・ペイジが中心となってデザインしています。

鈴木松根（私の弟です）は、WETAでCGのヘリコプターをつくりました。インテリア、エクステリア、ネジやボルトの一本までつくり込んだそうです。キャメロンの徹底ぶりが伺えます。

この映画は、DVDを待たずに、是非大きな３Dのスクリーンで体験して下さい。

I wonder what audience thought about this movie in Japan.

I recommend to watch this at the IMAX 3D theaters.

Because you can experience the powerful impact and enjoy the beautiful mysterious world.

Personally, this world reminded me the Hayao Miyazaki's world too.

Neville Page was a lead Creature Designer.

Matsune Suzuki (my brother) worked on the CG helicopter.

Interior, Exterior, even small details like bolts and nuts.

You can imagine Cameron's perfectionism.

This movie, you really shouldn't wait for DVD !!

Alein Race/ Scott Robertson

Scott Robertson’s new book called “Alien Race” came out this summer. (http://www.designstudiopress.com/)
HCDの一人、スコット・ロバートソンの新しい本、“Alien Race” （エイリアン・レース）が出版されました。(http://www.designstudiopress.com/)

Every one of the characters are very creative.
When I was at DSP, Scott showed me the amazing “alien creation tip”.
Using the MacBook’s program Photo Booth + Nature (he used a shell) , Scott made new alien in front of me in no time.
Scott is explaining about this in his blog “http://drawthrough.blogspot.com/” also in the “Alien Race” book.

それぞれ皆とてもクリエイティブなキャラクターです。
私がDSPのスタジオに行った時、スコットが「エイリアンの作り方」を実演して見せてくれました。
マックブック・プロに搭載されているソフト、フォトブース＋何でも自然のもの（この時は貝）を使って、信じられない短時に目の前で全く新しいエイリアンを作り上げてみせてくれました。

L.A. Phil and MJ

建国記念日のハリウッドボールの野外コンサートでは、マイケル・ジャクソンの追悼の為に、L.A.フィルハーモニーが ”スリラー” をフルオーケストラで演奏していました。

マイケル・ジャクソンの訃報は、ショッキングなニュースでした。

私はサインを欲しいというファンではありませんが、いつも目の隅において、次の素晴らしいパフォーマンスを見逃さないよう、期待していたような、、、感じで。

彼は、本当に多くのエンタテナー達に影響を与えた才能でした。

何ヶ月も前に、ある方のご紹介でマイケルのビジネスパートナーと会った時、ジャネットとマイケルにDSP(www.designstudiopress.com)よりDaniel SimonのCosmic Motorsの本を渡しました。

マイケルのプロジェクトのコンセプトを、HCDがビジュアル化する部分で手伝うという話がありましたが、私はもう少しプロジェクトが具体化してくるまで待とうと思い、少し時間をおいていました。

そして最近、もうそろそろメールしてみようかな、、と思っていた矢先の訃報でした。

ロンドンツアーは「自分の子供達の為にやりたい」といっていたと聞き、彼が作ろうとしていたこのプロジェクトも世界の子供達へのメッセージだったのでしょうか、、、どんな世界を作りたかったのでしょうか、、、と思いを馳せるばかりです。

At the Hollywood bowl concert on July 4th., L.A. Philharmonic played Michael Jackson's "Thriller" for tribute to him.

Michael's news was shocking. 

I'm not like "fan" fan but always keeping him in corner of my eyes and expecting to see something dynamite again.

His talent has been effected to many young children and professionals as well.

One day, I had a meeting with Michael's business partner and I handed Daniel Simon's "Cosmic Motors" books for Janet and Michael from DSP (www.designstudiopress.com). 

We talked about possibility of HCD helping Michael's project by doing concept design. -visualizing his concepts and images

But I decided to wait for a while until this project became more realistic.  

-but now, it's too late.

I herd he wanted to do this London tour for his children.

And I'm wondering ...his project was also his messages to all the children in the world...

STAR TREK 2009/ Neville Page

We usually don't have time to go to screenings unless you worked on it but Visual Effect Society said this "STAR TREK" screening was overbooked.

From HCD, Neville Page worked as a concept designer and an"actor".

I'm looking forward to see this movie.

いよいよスタートレックが公開されます。

今夜、Visual Effect Societyの特別スクリーニングがあり、通常、皆忙しいのでいちいちスクリーニングに行かれませんが、これは既にオーバーブッキングだとか、、、。私も昔パラマウントで、前のスタートレックの特撮の仕事をした時、とてもエキサイティングだったのを覚えています。HCDからは、Nevilleがコンセプトデザインをし、本人も出演しています。見るのが楽しみです。

Meet Jun Miyake in Paris

 

I represent a music artist "Jun Miyake" in Hollywood.  

Subway stations, streets...you'll see him everywhere in Paris this spring. Galeries Lafayette (department store in Paris) choose him as a "man of the year 2009" 

Shall we make a trip to go Paris to see him?
